Valley African Nova Scotia Development Association (VANSDA) :: To examine the needs of the African Nova Scotian community in Kings and Annapolis Counties.

Canada Site :: The Canada Site is the information gateway to information about Canada and about the Government of Canada and its programs, services and initiatives.

Black Business Initiative :: The Governments of Nova Scotia and Canada set up the Black Business Initiative (BBI) to address the unique needs confronting the black community. The BBI is a province-wide business development initiative designed to support the development of business and job opportunities among Black Nova Scotians.

African Canadian Services Division :: The Black Educators Association is committed to work cooperatively with the Department of Education, Nova Scotia Teachers' Union, Nova Scotia School Boards Association, parents and community groups and many other educational bodies to ensure a high caliber of education for Black learners.

Nova Scotia Department of Education :: In addition to accessing employment opportunities and work information the site will also perform a clearinghouse function for information relevant to human resource professionals, teachers, researchers, community agency staff, and others interested in work trends and issues.

African Canadian Education :: The main objective of UNESCO is to contribute to peace and security in the world by promoting collaboration among nations through education, science, culture and communication in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.

The Black Cultural Centre :: The stories, strengths and struggles of Nova Scotia's Black Loyalists..

Black History Month Association :: The Black History Month Association is society dedicated to the development and popularization of African Heritage Month, concentrated in- but not limited to-the Halifax/ Dartmouth Metropolitan Area. The Association is open to ALL people and coordinates activities that promote the history, culture and accomplishments of Africans worldwide.

Black Canadian Studies :: This collection includes sources such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, handbooks, and yearbooks. Databases are available at workstations in the Social Sciences and Humanities Reference area, and a workstation booking may be necessary. Many of the databases can be searched from outside the Library
